Executive Assistant to Editor-in-Chief in New York, NY

Hired by National Review

A well- known national editorial publication with a large following in print and in digital media was looking for an Executive Assistant to the Editor-in -Chief.  The prior Executive Assistant had been hired directly by the company and was not the right fit for the role. She had come from a very large organization, tended to “stay in her lane” and did not possess the agility for the fast-paced office.  Because the Editor- in- Chief made many appearances on TV, the company also realized they needed someone who had worked with the media, as well as someone who had worked for a publication.  It was also important for the candidate to be “all in” on the mission and message of the publication.  C-Suite Assistants found the perfect candidate who had worked at both small and large publications for over 11 years. She had also dealt with book publicity and had worked with the press.  Combined with her superior writing skills that gave her the ability to edit and help the Editor-in-Chief craft his commentaries, she was the perfect candidate for the role.
